Kamloops is centrally located in the heart of British Columbia’s sunny Southern Interior and is easily accessed by road, air, and rail. It is approximately a 3.5 hour drive to the lower mainland / Vancouver area, 4 hour drive to the ferries to go to Victoria and 2 hours to the sunny Okanagan - the tourist hot spot!

The word Kamloops is the English translation of the Shuswap word Tk’emlúps, which means “where the rivers meet”, and has been the home of the Tk’emlupsemc, the “people of the confluence”, for centuries.

Kamloops is a great community that nurtures growth. It is one of Canada’s premier host centres for developing amateur sport, tournaments, cultural events, high performance training camps and national and international competitions. As Canada’s Tournament Capital, it strongly fosters a grassroots philosophy of inclusion, accessibility, and sport development. 

Kamloops boasts a population of around 90 000 and has a very temperate climate. It has all of the amenities you need including a top notch university - Thompson Rivers University. TRU has multiple undergraduate and graduate options as well as a very strong vocational school that includes many Red Seal options. The community is very supportive of the players and the time commitment required for football. 

Kamloops is a great place to further your football career in a tight community setting with the option to continue your education and personal growth as well.
